It was another one of those beautiful days that beckoned Hawk outdoors. He had made his way to the gardens shortly after the sun had risen with the intent of weeding, but Mother Nature was a beguiling being, and Hawk ended up on his back on the grass looking up at the clouds. He drifted in and out of sleep, sometimes listening to the other tribe members arriving and rustling around, sometimes letting himself float to a time in the distant past. Occasionally, he would open his eyes long enough to observe the goings on around him. It was during one of these moments he spotted little miss Ruby wandering around.
Now there was a gorgeous being. Then again, Hawk thought all women were gorgeous. But in all seriousness, Ruby was a babe. A soft breeze teases her hair as she walked, and those jeans complemented her curves very nicely. As disappointing as it could be, Hawk very much enjoyed watching that girl walk away. He tried to observe her discreetly from his place on the ground, but this proved to be tricky. The gardens were not small, and when she was not disappearing behind random plants, she was wandering far from his sight.
Ruby passed by him once more, and this time, she appeared to be leaving. This time, he ditched subtlety and got up off his lazy bum to follow her. Stalker? No! They were merely going the same direction, and he just so happened to be a decent following distance behind.
Once the gardens had been left behind, and the number of people passing dropped considerably (like, to nobody), Hawk finally took longer strides to bring himself next to Ruby. Not wanting to startle her too badly, he remarked, "Nice day, isn't it?" He turned his head upward, his eyes squinting in the sunlight, to soak up the rays.
