Silver side-stepped quickly, moving closer to Jace briefly as two girls pushed past her. If she had half the attitude of her sister and just a little less patience, she would have said something to them, but instead, she just placed her opposite hand to the shoulder they'd touched. She took the step away from Jace again and shook her head. "Something is telling me that this is just not the kind of environment for me," she muttered with a short laugh.
She winced as she watched him poke the split in his lip again. It looked painful. She hadn't had a split of her own in many years, and was glad for that, because she didn't have a very high tolerance for pain and something like that would drive her crazy. She forced herself to look away from his lip, her gaze moving up to his eyes when she heard him speak. He'd never heard of her, and he probably hadn't even heard of her sister. That was only mildly surprising to her.
"Yeah, I didn't want to wait there alone all night," she explained, grinning as she looked away to watch the fight again, though she had almost no interest in what was going on. "It's okay sometimes but I knew everyone would be talking about it tomorrow and I do hate to be left out."
