It seemed like Jace had made it to Sundance just in time for the big event. Arriving at the mine warehouse, he grinned when he saw the imposing cage and the agitated crowd. This was his kind of kind of town. He pushed his way through the crowd, trying to find a good spot to watch the action. Then he bumped into someone and felt something odd. Some idiot had just tried to pickpocket him, pulling the pack of cigarettes right out of his pocket.
"Son of a bitch!" He turned instantly, grabbing the thief by the arm. This wasn't the place for a civilized discussion of law and order, so he did the next best thing and punched him in the face. It was no surprise when the man hit him back and the fight escalated. They exchanged blows for a bit, not much caring who or what got in the way, but he did notice a pretty blond who didn't manage to get out of the way of the scuffle quick enough.
When the problem was resolved, Jace having recovered his stolen goods and the other man laying on the floor nursing his injuries, Jace spotted the girl again. He made his way over to her.
"Some people just have no class, huh? Fighting in a crowded room where anyone could get hurt. What jerks." He offered her a sly smile. Then, acting more serious he added, "I thought I ought to apologize. You alright there?"
