Standing there with her arms crossed against her chest and the corner of her lips pinched downwards, Gaia looked upon the cage with thinly veiled disapproval. Heathens, she thought viciously. A part of her hoped that they cleaned the floor with each other and ended up being knocked out in the worse possible way. It was what they wanted after all, therefore, it should be exactly what they should get. She wondered if it would teach them a lesson. Gaia doubted it. Such a thing would also cause more trouble than necessary she imagined. Then again that was more than likely what this crowd wanted. All they needed now was to suit one of the idiots up in tin foil and let him deal with a den of lions. Oh wait ...
Clenching her jaw she watched them circle around the cage and their opponent. Holding onto her arms tighter with her hands, her fingers pinching into her skin, Gaia tried desperately to watch the proceedings with a certain detachment. It was difficult to do so when she could feel the revulsion spearing up her chest like a bad heart burn, nevertheless, she managed to watch what was in front of her the way an archeologists would have watched the silly natives. With cool amusement and aggravating pity.
What did they think they were playing at? Her dark eyes surveyed the crowd in annoyance. What did any of them think they were playing at? They were all a bunch of children hoping that they could see each other as adults. However, she wasn't at all fooled. They could barely take care of the tribes when they well. The tribes barely got along when things were peaceful and everyone was minding their own damn business. This, she thought, this was a breeding ground for disagreement and troublesome disorganization. It was as if they were asking for trouble. Knowing that this had been set up by her tribe she wouldn't have been at all surprised.
The only reason she was there was to keep her younger sister from attempting to show up. The thought caused the usually solemn-when angered young woman to scowl darkly. Yukiko had been dressed and ready to go with the other mountain lions. Because she wanted to see the show. The way her little marsbar had said it was as if she were going to see a ballet rendition of Carmen not a bunch of jackasses beating themselves senseless for entertainment. It had taken a very fierce pinky swear-something that Yuki held in very high regard-to get her sister to stay at the Lodge. Yuki had made Gaia promise to take in everything so that the older sister could retell it all with excruciating detail.
Moron punches imbecile. Imbecile goes down, idiotic infantile crowd goes wild and she wants to loose her breakfast. Ooo, titillating wasn’t it?
