The Carrion scout didn't think twice about attending the Halloween party the Wolves were throwing. Her tribe hadn't been invited since they were supposed to terrible creatures or some other made-up boogeyman story but a lack of an invitation had never stopped Angel before. Besides...everyone would be wearing masks; no one would recognize her or even notice she was there anyway. If anyone asked Angel could always claim to be a drifter and leave it at that. Yes. That was a good plan.
Angel looked at her reflection in the broken mirror hanging at the wall of the hospital restroom and smiled in satisfaction. Finding a costume ended up being a hard task but after some work and with Sissy's help she managed to improvised a mask with leaves and feathers. It wasn't all that great but it covered her face relatively well. Angel tied her hair up in pigtails, diluted blue crayon to add a little of color to her hair and put a hat on (with holes for the pigtails of course. She liked hats...sue her). The clothes were just as tricky as the mask but an old bermuda shorts with boys suspender, a sleeveless white shirt and a red tie solved the problem. She wasn't going to win any awards for best costume but at least she was looking different than her usual self. All dressed up and ready to go, Angel picked her coat, left Chance a short note and snuck out of the hospital into the sewer tunnels.
It took her a bit of time to reach the Trading Post unnoticed. Angel didn't want anyone to see her arriving. She took her time then and when she finally made to the party it was already dark. Her eyes sparkled in delight at the sight before her. Bonfires, music and jack-o-lanterns...picnic tables and popcorns. It was like paradise for a girl like her. She moved slowly around, her eyes scanning the area and taking in everything as she tried to suppress a smile of joy. The place looked beautiful. Angel bit her lip lightly and reached out to touch one of the tables' decoration when the leader of the wolves climbed up another table, removed his mask and addressed everyone.
Angel looked at him, narrowing her eyes briefly as she realized she had seen him before...around town. She had included him in many of her notes when she was working as a lookout but this was probably the closest she had ever gotten to him. He still looked imposing...didn't matter the distance. The wolves' leader reminded everyone of the actions taken by the Mountain Lions a couple days before and Angel frowned a little just remembering the fact. The Mountain Lions were clearly showing their strength by killing the drifter boy and Angel wondered how much further they would go to make their stand and show the other tribes they were not to be crossed.
She shook her head slightly and returned her attention to the Wolves' leader. Once he was done and came down the table, Angel shifted her gaze away and looked about for something to drink. The party was on...
