The idea of coming to a Halloween party as Jack and Jill had seemed like an awesome idea to Kestral. She had found a bucket which she had written 'The property of Jack and Jill' on it and had even convinced Hawk to let him bandage his head. That was when the tables turned though and Hawk told her she had to wear a skirt or he would get another costume. Kestral knew very well that he had done it to embarrass her rather than show off his sister. She was far past the point where even strangers knew her as one of the boys and that was the way she liked it. To Kestral skateboarding and building were the loves of her life and skirt just made both impractical. Apparently that hadn't stopped her from bringing her board; when she had dismounted the paint she had ridden to the Trading Post she had pulled it out of the satchel she had brought with her.
A light smirk slide across her features as she walked through the crowd, everyone was there and really it was a nice feeling. Wolf's speech had hit home with Kestral. She didn't understand why anyone would ever need to take things to such lengths, but then again she didn't understand the way most of the tribes lived. The Canopy was an oasis to Ke and there was no where else she felt more at home. The thought of living in a building in the city was about as appealing as living in the sewers.
Finding an open camp fire she sat down leaning against a stump. The thought of spending the entire night in the position she was in currently didn't seem like such a bad idea, especially not considering the fact that she had smoked too much reefer before coming to the party. Now she was just in a lazy mood, but she was all smiles and greeted those around her as they greeted her. She blamed her smoking up on the fact that she was currently wearing a lacy little skirt that she didn't see the point of. It was a waist of fabric in Kes' opinion. Thankfully not everyone thought the way Ke did.
