Bobby had actually wanted to come, but he was very well aware that if he hadn't he would have been made to. His mother was a strong willed woman, and if ever someone was sick or in need or help in their community she made sure her entire family was there to support them. It was one of the things he saw in his mother that just astounded him. He could remember her gaing and helping a family o re-build a barn, when she hadn't like any of them in the first place. As she had said, she would have hoped for the same from them. They hadn't had a chance to prove that they would in fact help the Caldwells since, but Bobby had known from the look in the father's eyes that he would be there now if they needed his help.
When Kelsey spoke to him, Grey looked at her with his heart on his sleeve. He couldn't believe that in just one week the vibrant little girl he knew had been turned into a weak shell of her former self. He had been about to reply when she started coughing. Reaching a hand out he held her shoulder tentatively. "It's alright, I don't think this is something we can catch. And we brought you some games... so that you won't get to bored sitting around all day." He tried to smile after he spoke, but there was no doubt that it was hard for him.
His mother on the other hand completely believe that Kelsey would be fine, and walked over to Bobby putting a hand on his own shoulder to solidify him to the point. It worked, she just was the type of woman that could do that even in the worst of situations. Stepping back, he let his Mum take over, she was better at these kinds of things.
