Bobby laughed looking up at her, as must as he could anyhow, "I'm sure my Mum will be more than happy to cook one of the simplest meals on the planet for you." Even Bobby could have cooked Spaghetti had he needed to, but he was not about to put that out there, because that lead to being asked to cook dinner for the family. He would rather pretend he could burn water, than be expected to cook for everyone.
Reaching the front door of the big white farm house, he picked her off his shoulder with a little groan. She was getting heavy and this activity would have to cease shortly. Putting her down beside him, he open the front door to the house and immediately smelled chocolate chip cookies, that his Mum had promised to make for desert. There were bonuses after all of having an 8 year old visiting the house.
"Hey, Mum?" Bobby called as he took off his runners. A 'Yes?' answered back from the kitchen, and so once he had his runners off, Bobby started down the hall in that direction. "Kelsey wants Spaghetti for dinner." he called / said as he walking into the kitchen. His Mum looked up from a fresh sheet of cookies in front of her.
Reaching out quickly Bobby tried to nip one, but as quickly his Mum had he spatula on his hand. 'Hey! Not till after spaghetti!' she said with a laugh, which got a roll of the eyes from a prepubescent Bobby.
