Warmth and appreciation was evident in her smile. “Thank you, Laura. I’m Megan. Nice to meet you. I wish it was under better circumstances.” She had seen this woman around before, once in a while she noticed Laura pass by the bakery. Sometimes it was with a dark haired man with blue eyes and sometimes the man and a child, sometimes it was just her and the girl. Either way it was nice to actually put a name with a face.
A glance around at the various tasks ahead and Meg sighed softly, “I think really anywhere is good. I was sort of just picking stuff up and trying to put things back where they go. Some of this isn’t any good anymore, but I think an inventory probably needs to be taken of the loss so we can ask the Government to replace it.” At least she hoped they would replace the items considering the natural disaster and all.
