It sometimes felt like every choice he made was the wrong one. Agreeing to come to the island with Kyrie, only to find them both stuck. Deciding to sneak on in hopes to get her off if things went wrong, which proved impossible. Joining the faction and finding himself having to keep secrets to protect his surrogate family. Asking to have a fake account created on the island server so he could communicate and occasionally be a voice without a face to try to out the wrongs perpetrated against residents of the island, only to have each instance backfire. Being stuck as a cat and not able to actually do anything to help anyone. All he could do is watch, observe. What difference had he actually made, could actually make?
Fitz felt guilt over trying to out the government over their torture of his friend. They'd twisted and turned the accusations and even though they didn't make much sense, there were those who believed what the Mayor had said. Despite the recording being asserted to have been someone's telepathic projection- which just seemed absurd to him. Ben had taken him to the woods the previous day to spar, or really just punch his frustrations out. It had helped to a point, but there were still things he had to deal with.
The orange tabby cat trotted up to Daryn's door and meowled at it. Daryn, are you home?
