Hannah & OPEN
Initially, Hannah thought she wouldn't be able to attend the barbecue. She was told she'd have to work. She hadn't imagined that she'd be working AT the party. And it was for a totally stupid reason, in Hannah's opinion. According to her orders, she was supposed to hang out and interfere with any type of cell or internet use. If residents tried to text each other, which was normally allowed, here at this event the service would be mysteriously down. Attempting to do any audio or visual recording would fail too. Any shred of evidence that this event ever happened was going to be the sole property of the federal government. Which would be used at their discretion.
Lingering near the musical acts, Hannah felt awkward about this whole thing. Not only was she working, this time around it was someone's great idea to try to get her to 'blend in' more. Why? She had no clue. Most of the mutants knew she was under the government's thumb, pretending to be one of them seemed absurd. Tugging at the hem of her white sundress, she stared down at the heeled sandals on her feet. A loose, coifed curl fell forward and she tossed it back over her shoulder. She was all done up, makeup and everything, and felt like a clown. Hopefully no one would notice how awkward she felt.
