April hadn't exactly had a great few days. Detention and interrogation was bad enough. But April had stood her ground and stayed quiet, refusing to give any answers to the guards about her file. She may not have said anything, but she'd been so scared and nervous that she repeatedly shifted forms during the questioning. Taking that as a diversion, the guards didn't respond very favorably. By Sunday night, April was in the hospital ward, unconscious and badly beaten. Which, all things considered, was probably for the best. Had she been awake, April likely would have taken on her smallest form and run to hide. So now, when her body moved to the floor, she barely gained consciousness for a moment before blacking out again as her hand brushed against the other girl's fingers.

In another place, a fragrant field of flowers, April's eyes opened to the brightness. There was so much color, so much vibrancy, that it was hard to take it all in. More than anything, April felt a sudden sense of calm and stillness, something she hadn't felt in a very long time. Her body felt light as air, and she looked almost.... glowy. It was surreal. Looking to the unfamiliar girl, April replied. "Hello. Where are we?"
