Who: Remy Norris and Zayne Vandriel What: Talking and cuddling When: January 9th, at night; January 10th, morning; after Faction meeting Where: Remy’s
Zayne climbed into bed and curled up against Remy. This was his favourite part of the day. He loved curling up in Remy’s arms and falling asleep there. He felt very content and complete there. He had been here every night since New Years. He did begin to wonder if he was overstaying his welcome. Remy hadn’t said so but he didn’t need to say it to think it. Maybe this should be his last night and he’d let Remy to have his bed back. There weren’t any more attacks and while that didn’t mean things were safe, maybe things returned to status quo. That probably meant that he didn’t have a reason to stay here anymore. He even felt back to normal from healing Thursday. He had slept hard Sunday night and into Monday morning. He also slept almost too long at Thursday’s, which he had felt bad about. At least things were going back to normal.
Zayne curled up closer to Remy, kissing him gently, “It’s going to be hard to go back to my own bed. You have spoiled me this last week.”
---
When Zayne climbed into the bed Remy wrapped arms around him, pulling him in close. He nuzzled into his neck and just breathed him in for a moment. It felt so good to have Zayne against him, holding him like this. He had been completely spoiled having Zayne there every night. At first he was just enjoying the novelty of it. Having a beautiful man that he cared deeply for. It was cliche but cliche for a reason. But after a while he came to realize how much better he felt, how much happier he felt having Zayne with him and waking up beside him. Despite all of the horrible things that had happened waking up with Zayne in his arms made him happy.
Remy returned the kiss then smiled at him. “So don’t. Go back I mean. Bring your stuff here.”
---
Zayne had not expected Remy to say that. He maybe did think that if he was overstaying his welcome, Remy would have told him so maybe he wasn’t being quite annoying on that front. Still, he didn’t expect Remy to offer to have him live here with him. He pushed himself up by his elbow and looked down at Remy.
“Seriously?” Zayne asked, “You sure you want me around all the time?”
---
When Zayne pushed himself up and looked down at him Remy brought a hand up to thread fingers into his hair. He smiled widely then leaned up to kiss him gently. “Yes, seriously. I wouldn’t joke about that.” His hand brushed fingers over Zayne’s cheek as he looked at him. “I’ve never felt as good as I do when I’m with you.” He met his eyes, his own showing that he meant what he was saying. “When I wake up in the morning I actually smile having you beside me. That’s … a rarity around here.”
---
Zayne kissed him back. He could get very used to this, living with Remy, waking up with him and going to sleep with him. He smiled bigger and kissed Remy again.
“And to think, then you won’t have to worry about microwaving dinner anymore,” Zayne teased. He kissed Remy for a third time, “I know what you mean. I am so happy spending time with you. I’m really glad that you are in my life, Remy.”
---
Remy laughed at the teasing and returned the kiss easily. He smiled, fingers brushing through Zayne’s hair again as he spoke. “You took the words right out of my mouth.” He trailed his hand around to the back of Zayne’s neck before pulling him down to kiss him slowly, deeply. He tried to show him with the kiss what he meant to him. He wasn’t good with words but this, this he could do.
“You’re a breath of fresh air, Zayne. You’re … you’re everything I’ve dreamed of but not perfect in the best ways.” Remy smiled up at him.
---
Zayne liked Remy’s fingers in his hair. Especially when he had freshly showered and he didn’t have a lot of gel in it making it all spikey. It was actually soft and just his hair for once. He also liked Remy’s hand on his neck and kissing him. That kind of kiss, it made Zayne feel warm and good inside. It had been a very long time since Zayne felt like this with anyone. If ever. Remy was special and for some reason, he wanted Zayne.
“I’m pretty sure I’m a pain in the ass in many ways,” Zayne teased, though partly serious. He did have all the secrets, which couldn’t be easy to deal with. He kissed Remy again, “Can I gush about you? Because I almost did to Daryn the other day but I spared her from it.”
---
Remy loved touching Zayne. It didn’t matter how. Playing with his hair, soft touches to his face and neck, holding hands. Even just sitting close enough that they could lean on each other. He loved that simple, physical connection and the fact that Zayne enjoyed it as well just made it that much better. The kiss was amazing. He didn’t want it to end but breathing was necessary. Even then he let it linger before pulling back enough to see Zayne’s face again.
Zayne’s words made him laugh. “That’s one of the things I like about you.” Remy winked at him then easily returned the kiss then his eyebrows went up. “You were talking to Daryn about me? Should I be worried?” He chuckled softly. “You can gush if you want though you might make me blush.” He winked playfully.
---
Zayne smiled at Remy. He liked making him laugh. Yes, he could gush quite easily about Remy and he really didn’t want to scare Remy off by doing so.
“All the worried,” Zayne stuck out his tongue then shook his head, “No. She asked how we met and I asked how you two met. She had mentioned you were a wonderful person and I couldn’t help but agree,” Zayne kissed him quickly, “She’s right. You are wonderful,” quick kiss, “and brave,” another quick kiss, “not to mention handsome and incredibly sexy.”
---
Remy smiled and kept touching Zayne as much as possible. He returned every kiss with a laugh and smiled at Zayne. “You are so completely wonderful.” He said softly, fingers caressing his cheek. “You’re the best thing to ever happen to me, Zayne, and I’m not letting you go.” Reaching up he wrapped arms around Zayne’s neck, pulling him down to kiss him deeply.
----
It was easy with Remy. It was easy to get lost in Remy and being with him and kissing him. Later, it was also easy to fall asleep with him, curled up with him. Remy made Zayne very happy and he felt very safe with him.
Morning came much too fast and Zayne very much wanted to grab the blankets and pull them over his head. He needed to get up. He had to open up the coffee shop. He really needed to get someone else to open it in the morning. Mornings weren’t his cup of tea. Or coffee. He did grab the blankets enough so he could wiggle further down in the bed. He could stay here a few minutes longer, right? Just two more.
---
Remy chuckled softly when Zayne snuggled down into the bed. Leaning down, he pressed a kiss to the top of his head. “It’s time to get up sleepyhead.” He smiled to himself. He had never been a morning person and now, with Zayne all warm and snuggly beside him he was even less of a morning person. He wanted nothing more than to stay in bed with Zayne all day but that wasn’t an option. “We both have a long day ahead of us and a faction meeting tonight.”
---
Zayne rolled over to snuggle against Remy and mumbled, “Cuddle time first? Then I’ll get up. Promise.” Just a few minutes. Start the day off right with cuddles though he made no promises that he wouldn’t go back to sleep after a moment of two of cuddling.
He did know Zayne was right. It would be a long day and then there was the meeting, that made him a bit nervous. He didn’t know what to expect. He didn’t know what to do anything wrong. What if he really wasn’t welcomed there? He was being silly, he knew that, but it didn’t stop him from cuddling closer.
---
Remy laughed softly at his words but wrapped Zayne up in his arms, pulling him in close. “It’s hard for me to say no to cuddle time.” He smiled then nuzzled into Zayne’s hair. “I just don’t want you to be late.” He closed his eyes and just breathed him in. Zayne was almost literally a breath of fresh air. He was exactly what Remy needed to keep breathing, to keep pushing.
“Do you want to talk about the meeting? Or are you just all about cuddling and falling back asleep?” He smiled to himself.
---
Zayne was pretty sure he set the alarm early enough that he could have time to cuddle. Or people could wait a few minutes for coffee. No, he probably shouldn’t do that but this? That wasn’t a good enough reason to get up. He would. Soon. Promise.
“Yes,” Zayne said, shifting slightly so he could look up at Remy, “Can I take option a with cuddling and falling back asleep with a hint of talking about the meeting and making sure I do things right?”
---
Remy was used to getting up the moment the alarm went off and diving into his routine. This was new to him. Even when he had a regular ...fling they didn’t stay the night and certainly didn’t cuddle like this the morning after. He could get used to this. Maybe. He was definitely going to enjoy it.
“Hmm cuddling it a definite. I’m all for that. But I’m not going to let you go back to sleep. Because if you do, then I will and we’ll both be late for work. And I can’t afford that.” Unfortunately if he were late he’d probably get looked at and he didn’t want that. “You can’t do things wrong for the meeting. But I will say you’ll need to make sure you sit where I can’t see you.”
---
Zayne always made sure his alarm went off one (or two) snoozes before he ought to get up. Maybe three before he absolutely had to get up. Getting up at that first ring was never a thing. Especially now that he had Remy in the morning to cuddle with, unless Remy was already up. Then it was a roll over to where he was sleeping and steal the warmth.
“We probably shouldn’t be late,” Zayne said, “even though staying like this is very very tempting,” he poked Remy gently, “Stop being so tempting.” He didn’t mean that in the least. He was pretty sure, however, he could do things wrong at the meeting. Not that he would do any of them on purpose but what if he messed up? He wouldn’t. He knew that. He hoped. “Where you can’t see me? How come?” That he wasn’t expecting. He had to hide from Remy?
---
Remy chuckled softly. “Yes, it's very tempting. And I can blame you as much as you can blame me.” He grinned. He had no intentions of changing and he didn't want Zayne to change either. Closing his eyes he relaxed, a hand making lazy circles over Zayne’s back. “I’m not as strong a telepath as Daryn so it’s going to take a lot of concentration to pull this off. And I’m nervous, which makes it harder. And you …” He smiled and touched Zayne’s cheek. “You are a distraction. The best possible kind. But still a distraction.”
---
“I don’t want to distract you,” Zayne said softly, “Not when it’s something this important,” he smiled to Remy, “I promise you won’t even know I’m there.” Well, that wasn’t going to be exactly true. Remy would know he was there but Zayne would try to keep out of mind as much as possible. He put his hand over Remy’s, squeezing it lightly, “If there is I can do prior, let me know?”
---
Remy smiled and closed his eyes, nuzzling into Zayne’s hair again. “Thank you for that.” He said softly. “I want you to be a part of the meeting, just like everyone else. So I need to treat you that way during the meeting. I hope that doesn’t bother you.” He smiled when Zayne laid his hand over Remy’s. “I promise I’ll let you know. And we’ll talk after for sure.”
---
“It doesn’t bother me,” Zayne said, smiling at Remy’s nuzzle, “You have an important role at this meeting and you need all your focus,” he paused, “Are you going to be okay after? Will it give you a headache?” He hoped he wasn’t being too overbearing but he did care about Remy’s health. He didn’t want Remy to overdo it. At the same time, he would never say that. He knew how important all of this was. He would never try to stop Remy from what he did either.
---
“Thank you. That means a lot to me.” Remy said softly and pressed a kiss to his forehead. At Zayne’s question he thought for a moment. “I don’t know, honestly. I’ve never done this before. But … I suspect I’m going to have a monster headache and be exhausted. Fortunately tomorrow is Friday so I only have to suffer through one day of work before I can sleep for a while.” He kissed Zayne gently. “So I’ll want lots of cuddles.”
---
Zayne shifted some so he could kiss Remy properly and he could look at him. He smiled softly, “You will have me all weekend for cuddles. Whenever you want me, I’m yours,” he paused, “I can even sing you a lullaby after, just to help?” Whatever he could do, he would do it, especially for Remy. He returned the kiss and said, “To be honest, I always want cuddles so…” he trailed off, flashing a grin at Remy. That much was true too.
---
Remy returned the kiss and smiled at him. “I may not let you out of my sight.” He chuckled softly then gently caressed Zayne’s cheek. “We’ll see. I don’t want to push your ability too much.” He wasn’t saying no but he wanted to be careful. Remy laughed softly the pulled Zayne down against him again. “Then we’re good.”
—-
“I will never say no to that,” Zayne smiled to him. He was pretty sure he could almost never say no to anything Remy wanted. Zayne paused for a moment and said, “Maybe it should be pushed? How else will it get stronger?” He gave a tiny shrug. He wanted to be better. It felt like he was a late bloomer. He was, wasn’t he? It wasn’t important to talk about now.
Zayne snuggled against Remy, resting his head against him and closing his eyes. This? Right here. Was heaven.
---
“Somehow I suspected you’d say that.” Remy chuckled softly then tilted his head. Hadn’t Zayne said to him exactly what he had said to Daryn? Wow. “I don’t disagree but we need to be careful. So we’ll take it slow and go from there. How’s that?” He hoped Zayne would be okay with not just diving in.
Remy closed his own eyes, holding Zayne close as he just relaxed. This was definitely heaven.
---
Zayne really didn’t want to get up but it wasn’t long before they were both up and getting ready for work. Zayne was nervous about the meeting all day but working, interaction with the customers and now the new responsibility of taking care of the coffee shop was a nice distraction. He made sure he was early for the meeting and by the time the meeting was done, he had several pages of new sketches, that he shoved into his messenger bag. He waited a bit, letting others leave or linger. He peeked to see if Remy had left and he did. He paid for his drink, trying not to feel flattered that the waitress left her number on his receipt.
He ducked out of the diner and headed to Remy’s. Home. Soon to be home. He would need to triple-confirm with Remy to make sure he really wanted him there and when. It was a nice thought to think that Remy’s would be home. No. Remy was home. It wasn’t the place. It was the person. He let himself in and found Remy on the couch. He put his bag down and knelt next to Remy on the couch, giving him a kiss hello first.
“Have I ever told you that you are amazing? Because you really are,” Zayne said to him.
---
Remy’s day went quickly as it always did before a Faction meeting. But even more so because he was actually running the meeting this time and that was a first. He wasn’t as strong a telepath as Daryn and this was going to be at the limit of what he had tried before. He knew it was going to require a lot more focus and energy than he was used to. He also knew that some of the ideas may not go over well. People wanted action and what he was proposing was almost the opposite of that. But he had backup and they’d figure it out.
When the meeting was over Remy was exhausted mentally and physically. He was also frustrated and a bit annoyed which was only serving to compound the exhaustion. He hadn’t lingered and had headed straight home for painkillers and an ice pack. He was trying to relax, the ice pack on the back of his neck when Zayne came in.
Seeing Zayne was like a breath of fresh air and he couldn’t help but smile despite his mood and exhaustion. He easily returned the kiss then chuckled softly. “I don’t feel very amazing. But thank you.” Leaning back he reached for Zayne to pull him practically into his lap.
—-
Zayne moved easily with Remy, climbing into his lap and putting his arm around him. He couldn’t help but note that Remy looked tired. He kissed Remy again and nuzzled him.
“I thought you were amazing,” Zayne said, “You are a wonderful leader and they are lucky to have you. I know good things will come from this meeting.” He might be being a little too hopeful. He knew there were some who wanted to do more but they needed to be smart. They already had that stupid curfew to deal with. What was next? He nuzzled Remy again, “Do you want to talk about it?”
---
Remy returned the kiss then practically purred at the nuzzle. He closed his eyes and just relaxed, holding onto him.
Taking a deep breath Remy let it out slowly. “I sure hope you’re right.” He said softly. “I didn’t feel like a very good leader.” He felt like he was playing ring around the rosie and they were all about to fall down. But he wasn’t going to let that happen. “It’s just tough. I know everyone wants to act. I wouldn't mind breaking a few skulls. But it would only make matters worse at this point. But then it’s hard to get people to commit, to be excited about diving in. Because it’s not going to be as satisfying. And I have … concerns about a couple of people who were there. So I have to pursue that and I’m not sure I’m going to like the outcome.”
---
“You gave people a chance to act. I know some people, they want to fight but it’s not going to help anything,” Zayne said softly, “A protest is a good idea. It’s going to rally people together, feel connected and not alone. That? Is priceless. And burning the ID card? It’s not a physical punch but it is in some way. It’s making a stand. These are good things to focus on.” He hoped this was encouraging to Remy to hear. He, at least, agreed with Remy and what needed to be done.
“What are your concerns?” Zayne asked. He knew there was a chance that Remy would not be willing to talk about it. It might be a secret thing, a leader thing and Zayne had no right to know anything but he wanted to be there for Remy, even if it was as a sounding board. Remy probably sensed more things from people than Zayne could.
---
Remy had his eyes closed against the headache but he was listening. He smiled as Zayne continued and relaxed slowly. When he stopped Remy lifted his head and looked into his eyes before leaning in and kissing him gently. “Thank you for that.” He said softly. “I think I’ve gotten so wrapped up in the negative that I’ve missed the best part of it all.” He pressed his forehead to Zayne’s for a moment, just breathing him in.
At the question Remy sighed softly. He didn’t want to go into too many specifics. Especially before things were looked into but Zayne had already proven it was good to bounce things off of him. “I think someone is hiding something. Something big and not good. I couldn't get a fix on them during the meeting because I had to concentrate on the meeting itself. I’m hoping Daryn got more and I’ll talk to her about it later. But it … it didn’t feel good.”
---
Zayne kissed him back then said, “It’s easy to get lost in the negative, especially hearing so many voices at once. But you did really good today. Tomorrow we can reach out to Thursday and Phobia and start reaching out to others. It will fall into place,” Zayne smiled softly, “Besides, I have another Thursday doodle I wanted to give him.” He had one of Remy he wanted to share too but that would wait until later.
“Do you think someone is playing sides?” Zayne asked, hating that he jumped there first. He also hated to think someone was hiding something not good and that could risk everyone. He put his arms around Remy, holding him close. Hugging him wouldn’t protect Remy from any outside danger but it didn’t stop Zayne from trying.
---
Remy smiled softly at his words. It did mean a lot to him that Zayne was so positive and ready to dive in. It was … refreshing. He wasn’t as jaded as some of them were at this point and that was wonderful to see. It was certainly helping him to get himself pumped up again. He was usually pretty good at it but sometimes the weight just bogged him down. Zayne was the perfect remedy for that. “That sounds good.” He nodded then chuckled. “I love your doodles.”
At Zayne’s question Remy took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “I don’t know.” He said softly “But someone was hiding something during the meeting. And if they’re hiding from me that’s not good. That’s as far as I’ve gotten but I’m not looking forward to chasing it down.”
---
“I may have a doodle or two of you too,” Zayne said. It wouldn’t be the first time Remy got one of his drawings. He had slipped one in with one of Remy’s coffee’s one morning. He nuzzled against Remy, breathing him in, “We’ll worry about that stuff tomorrow. Tonight, you just relax and I’ll sing to you and we can go to bed and not worry.” He didn’t think they would stop worrying but they could relax some.
Zayne nuzzled Remy again and said, “You’ll figure it out. Hopefully it’s nothing stupid and you’ll be okay.” Hopefully everyone would be okay. He hoped that no one would be so stupid in the Faction to do something to risk everyone else.
---
“Oh yeah?” Remy lit up a little bit at the comment about doodles. “Now I want to see them. I love your doodles so much.” He had been surprised when Zayne had given him the doodle and he still had it. The nuzzle made him purr softly. He smiled at Zayne’s words and nodded. “That sounds wonderful.”
The nuzzles were wonderful but he was distracted by the discussion. “I hope you’re so right.” He leaned down to kiss Zayne gently. “You.. you’re the most wonderful thing.”
---
“I had some time to draw,” Zayne said with a smile, “I’ll show them to you after. I don’t want to move from here.” Especially when Remy purred like that. The only place that Zayne wanted to move to was from the couch to the bed and he didn’t want to move yet. He was very comfortable here. He reached up and ran a hand through Remy’s hair.
Zayne returned the kiss. He resisted shaking his head. He didn’t think he was a wonderful thing but he didn’t want to say that. He kissed Remy again and smiled at him. Remy was the most wonderful thing. He ran his fingers through Remy’s hair again, “I think you have me confused with you again.”
---
“Were you drawing during the meeting? That sounds like a good way to keep yourself busy while everyone else goes around in circles and whines before we can get some real decisions made.” Remy let out a soft sigh. He really needed to let that go and focus on the good like Zayne had pointed out. He’d get there once his head stopped hurting and they got to the actual planning and doing. That always made it easier. He smiled when Zayne said he didn’t want to move. “Good because I like you right here.” He nearly purred again when he felt Zayne’s fingers in his hair.
Remy returned the kiss and did purr this time. Leaning down he nuzzled his face into Zayne’s neck and relaxed, practically melting into him. “You’re like a breath of fresh air.” He spoke softly. “Exactly what I need to remember why I even get out of bed in the morning.”
---
“I wanted to look like I was in the diner with a purpose,” Zayne laughed lightly, “I gave a doodle to the waitress and in exchange I got her phone number.” Wait. Should he have not mentioned that? He thought it was amusing and it wasn’t like he was going to call her. He only had eyes for Remy. Zayne kept playing with Remy’s hair. He really had no desire to move anymore.
Yup. Remy was definitely confused with himself. Zayne also knew he was probably being too hard on himself. So he kissed Remy again and whispered against his lips, “I’m pretty sure you are the reason why I don’t want to get out of bed in the morning. Why would I want to stop being curled up with you?”
---
“Ah yes, that’s a good idea.” Remy smirked at him when he said the waitress gave him her phone number. “Well, shit. No one will imagine you’re there for a secret meeting about a rebellion. You’re just there to pick up chicks.” Remy laughed softly. He just thought it was amusing. He wasn’t worried about Zayne hooking up with the woman.
Remy easily returned the kiss, his hand caressing Zayne’s cheek. “Well, there’s that too.” He chuckled softly. “If I could stay in bed with you forever that would definitely be heaven.”
---
Zayne smiled when Remy laughed and said, “Exactly. No one suspects the cute guy in the corner.” He was glad that Remy didn’t seem bothered about the number. It meant there was trust between them and while Zayne knew that before, this was a good sign. They were solid. It made Zayne feel safer still with him.
“Too bad neither of our job descriptions allow for us to stay in bed all day,” Zayne said with a smile. “And one day we’d want to get out of bed. We’d need coffee to survive. Or maybe that’s just me.” He laughed again and kissed Remy.
---
“You’re just so damn cute no one would ever think you were plotting against the government.” Remy grinned then leaned in to steal a quick kiss. “Keep collecting phone numbers and making doodles and being cute. It’s a good cover and it’s so easy for you. The cute part I mean.” He winked at him.
“Yes, unfortunately. I already looked into that and no go.” Remy laughed softly. “Yes, coffee is a must. Plus certainly bodily functions.” He kissed him back easily.
---
Zayne kissed him back and laughed lightly, “I’m just a pretty face, huh? No one will suspect a thing because they will be too dazzled by my smile.” The thought wasn’t a new one but his face was something that could help them. His face could bring attention to what was going on on the island. He just wasn’t entirely sure if he wanted to give that up yet. He was being selfish, wasn’t he? First, however, he wanted to try to contact Dorothea. Maybe she could help without his face. No, he was sure that she would. He just needed to get in touch with her.
Zayne made a face and said, “In this dream world where we don’t leave the bed, we aren’t talking about bodily functions.” It was so easy and nice to keep kissing Remy. Could that be his job? “Shall we head to bed now? Curl up, blankets, pretend this heaven exists?”
---
Remy’s eyes widened. “I didn’t mean it like that at all. I mean you have a great smile but I wasn’t trying to insinuante anything.” Remy suddenly felt like the biggest asshole. He wasn’t trying to use Zayne or say that he was just a pretty face. He was so much more than that.
“Ah, yes. I like your version so much better than mine.” Remy nodded at his question. “As much as I don’t want to move that sounds perfect. Though I can’t promise how long I’ll stay awake.”
---
Zayne cupped Remy’s face and kissed him, “I know. I’m teasing and right now, I don’t mind if people are distracted by a pretty smile if that means they aren’t looking too deeply.” And if that means, they aren’t looking at you. Remy did dangerous things, he could get into a lot of trouble. Zayne worried, though he tried to keep the thought buried so Remy wouldn’t know. He didn’t know how successful he was with that but whatever Zayne could do to distract from what was really going on? He could smile at whomever needed it.
“I’m a dreamer, what can I say?” He nuzzled Remy again, “Come on. We’ll go to bed. I’ll sing you to sleep. You rest and later I’ll make us dinner.” Much later, after the sleeping and the resting and lots of cuddling.
---
Remy returned the kiss and looked at him. He nodded slowly then took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “Thank you.” He said softly. “I’m sorry that you worry about me. I wish I could change that but you know why I do what I do.” He laid his hands over Zayne’s as he looked at him.
“Just one of the many things I like about you.” Remy closed his eyes as he nuzzled him. “That sounds perfect.” He stole a gentle kiss then helped Zayne up off of his lap.
---
“I don’t ever want you to apologise for that,” Zayne said softly, “I think you are amazing and wonderful and what you do? Just makes you more so. I care about you, a lot, so worrying is going to come with the territory and I’m going to do whatever I can to make sure you are safe. Even if I can’t do much, I have your back as much as I can. I promise.”
Zayne kissed him back and slid off Remy’s lap. He reached out for Remy’s hands, holding them as they made their way to the bedroom. He let Remy get into bed first before climbing in and curling up next to him, “So am I singing you a lullaby or do you have a song choice?”
---
Remy looked into his eyes as Zayne spoke. It was almost as if Zayne was saying everything that Remy needed to hear. His heart swelled in his chest and he had to close his eyes against the flood of emotion he felt. “Thank you.” He whispered then opened his eyes and looked at him. “I don’t know what I did to deserve you but I’m not going to ever take advantage of that. You have my promise on that.”
Once Zayne stood up he did the same and went with him easily. As they got to the bedroom he climbed in then wrapped his arms around Zayne when he curled up next to him. “I don’t care what you sing. I just love hearing your voice.”
---
Zayne kissed Remy deeply. He felt very much the same way about Remy. He had no idea what he did to have a wonderful man like Remy even pay attention to him but he was and he cared about him and Zayne was going to do whatever he could for Remy. He really cared for Remy and he didn’t want to lose him.
Zayne rested his head on Remy’s chest, letting his hand rest on his stomach, his finger doodling for a moment before he began to sing. He closed his eyes, focusing on Remy and making him feel better. It was a love song he had written a few years ago. He hadn’t ever finished it for anything but right now, it was the first thing that popped in his head.
