Endurance training, and not the run or hike sort. Jake was in one of the many rooms equipped for training powers in The Facility. While Jake did have a pretty good mastery of his powers thanks to his training at Riken, they were always pushing him to his limit to ensure he would be the best agent he could be. He had an important role, as important as it was to get people into a location, getting them out quickly was just as important. His goal that day was simple, avoid the paint balls.
He stood in a large empty room with four guys opposite him. They had direction to fire at Jake and try to hit him, Jake had to avoid the shots, but he wasn't allowed to get withing five feet of the soldiers- or leave teh room. It seemed simple. Jake put two fingers to his ear, covering the ear piece slightly so he could get a clear hear as the directions were relayed to him. He heard someone ask if he was ready. "Yes, Ma'am." He replied. That day for training they put him in a white jumpsuit so they could easily track all the paint splatter.
The first shot he caught in the leg, the second he caught in the shoulder. He heard criticism and degrading comments in his ear. Jake managed to avoid the third and fourth shot, scattering his jumps to prevent the soldiers from getting a good bead on him. With four opponents, the shots started to quicken and he found himself jumping at a quicker rate. Almost the moment he teleported to one area he'd have to jump again to an area in his peripheral. Fortunately there wasn't much to displace as he landed, occasionally he'd land at the moment a paint ball approached his new location and the wave of displaced energy pushed the ball away and into the wall (or back at the soldiers). In these moments he heard words of encouragement in his ear.
Jake didn't really listen to his ear as he was focusing hard on landing and making his next jump without getting hit. He wasn't sure how long had passed or how many consecutive jumps he'd done. He just knew he was starting to get tired. His mind thought of bed as he landed. Jake shook his head, he couldn't let his mind wander or he'd end up in the wrong place. His re-focus cost him a shot in the gut. He had to focus, he couldn't risk a 'squirrel' situation. In his ear he heard something vaguely of getting a drink after this and shopping. The men firing at him were having a conversation their mics were picking up and transmitting through the earpiece. As he went to quick jump his mind flashed for a brief moment to the market.

Anyone and anything within a two foot radius of where he landed was hit with a kinetic wave of force outward from his specific location. As he 'landed' his first thought was that the sun was warm. Then it hit him "Fuck." He muttered under his breath as he looked around and realized he was in the market, in the middle of the street. He glanced around to make sure that no one was hurt as the device in his ear exploded with screaming. He quickly responded. "I'm sorry. I got distracted. I'm in the market. I'll be back in a jiff." Jake focused on where he had just been and tried to jump. As he did he fell to his knees as a searing pain rocketed up his spine. Apparently they turned on his implant.
"You are done for the day. Very disappointed." Jake heard in his ear as he slowly stood up.
