Christmas was kind of starting to get to Alec too. He wasn't a grinch. He wasn't being kept here away from family, mourning their absence during the holiday times. He didn't have family waiting for him back on the mainland. He'd never really celebrated Christmas in any of his foster homes. Gift exchange wasn't something his foster parents were particularly fond of. He didn't have cherished memories of decorated trees or building gingerbread houses. So Alec liked to imagine that he had a fairly high threshold of bullshit before the holidays really got to him given their situation.
The bullshit was getting an early start this year, apparently. Alec pulled back sharply to avoid a collision. Admittedly, he'd actually been distracted by the guy ahead of him glaring holes into the stall ahead of him that he'd near walked right into him, but Phobia turning abruptly helped a bit with that. But he recognized this guy. He recognized most people.
He grinned and waved a hand dismissively. "Don't worry bout it. Frosty over there piss you off?" He nodded toward the Frosty the Snowman replica, sitting outside of one of the stores. It always appeared on the first of December like clockwork, even though they rarely got actual snow here. They got the bullshit that covered the ground and then disappeared before the day was over. It seemed rude, mocking, given that they couldn't actually build their own snowmen here. "Saw you mean muggin' him."
