The question of the kitchen gave Adam pause for a second, not because he was ashamed of working there exactly...but mostly because he wasn't sure how others would respond when they learned that he cooked for the guards who kept them all imprisoned. At least though the chef finally scratched his head before softly chiming in once more. "I help run the kitchen over at the military base. Apparently the staff learned about my prior cooking experience and decided I'd make a good addition." He wasn't really a fan of working for the same guys who had beaten him badly, yet at least he could work instead of having nothing to pass his time.
When she spoke of feeding four or more mouths AC chuckled warmly again before nodding once more. "Well at least you have folks to cook for, for fun. I'm hoping this whole potluck thing is a hit, so I can have an excuse to whip up some delicious dishes for people. Right now, beyond the base kitchen, I really just tend to cook for myself and my sister."
