When the container was handed over AC took a peek within, nodding and smiling anew as he inspected the brownies earnestly. "Well these look delicious, and I have no doubt that they'll be a big hit. Even if no one else shows up." Hearing that she worked at the bakery peaked the chef's interest, and after carefully placing the brownies down on the food table Parish chimed in again. "I haven't had the chance to swing by the bakery just yet. Still it's certainly on my to do list. If only to compare some notes when it comes to cooking with limited rations. As is, the kitchen I work in has had decent supplies so I've been spending most of my time there."
He hoped she was right. Not just because it would be nice to cook for others again, but because he missed swapping recipes and chatting about anything and everything with others. "Hopefully no one will get hurt coming or going from here. I have no clue who all will attend but going in a group does sound like the wisest option."
