Laura noticed the bulletin in the Marketplace about a week ago. She thought the idea was nice, a community dinner party was something that could give people the opportunity to socialize in a safe space. She was working hard to meet more people and make more connections, and this would be the best way to meet more people at one time.
So, on the day of the event, Laura took some time to bake something to bring along. Once the caramel brownies were out of the oven and appropriately cooled, Laura headed out to the address on the flyer, her nine-year-old daughter in tow. Caitlyn was just as eager to attend the dinner as her mother, though the child was far more outgoing and as such, much less nervous. At the door, Laura took a deep breath and hesitated before ringing the bell.
