Truth be told Adam had no clue what to expect of the marketplace at all. However when he reached the place at last, well the upscale nature of the structure was far beyond anything the chef had first pictured. Earnestly Parish figured he'd be dealing with a third world country style flea market at best. However as his gaze drifted across the impressive building a frown deepened across his lips.
Under normal circumstances AC was all for being a bit of a social butterfly. Talking with strangers, starting up conversations, or just blending into any crowd was easy enough for him. But the island wasn't any normal place at all, and so Parish found himself becoming far more withdrawn for the sake of his own well being. However despite that instinct to protect himself by self isolating, the young chef knew he'd need to be a bit more outgoing if he was going to sort out how things worked there in the Market.
A part of him almost wished it had been a bit more run down like a regular flea market, since at least then he wouldn't feel so awkward about trying to trade baked goods with complete strangers. Yet food was all he had to really offer, and AC hoped it would be enough to trade for a decent birthday present since he wanted to get Zoe something for their shared day of birth.
Lost in thought, Adam failed to notice that he had been simply standing there in the middle of the foot traffic. So when he nearly was the cause of a crash a sheepish expression of regret swept over his features. "Sorry! That was, that was my bad...guess standing and gawking at everything isn't the brightest move on my part." For a second Parish nearly thought it would be better to move to the side, yet instead his gaze drifted to the woman he almost collided with. "Hey, sorry to bug you. Especially after almost crashing into you. But I'm new to this place, and could really use a little help. I uh, well I don't have any real cash, but if you could help a guy out and tell me where I should go to trade... Well I'd totally be cool for trading you one of my turnovers for the info."
