Rahim watched Zoe remove the diodes. He could feel her closeness. All humans had an energy to them that felt warm the closer they were. He could gauge how tired they were based on their energy. He could take that energy from them if they tried but it took more effort that it did when he took it from the sun, so he never tried. He took the wet nap from her.
“I convinced an empath to train with me,” he admitted. “She said she can’t breathe. Because of everybody’s emotions. When I convinced her to train, I could control my emotions. I can’t anymore. I made you cry. I’m not trying to make her cry because I think about the wrong thing when I’m trying to teach her control.”
