Bewilderment and a pinch of earnest awe seemed to be the mood that currently held sway for the poor guy. Within the span of a few hours his whole life had been flipped upside down. Yet this added detail, discovering that he did indeed possess an ability, it all but floored Parish. It was a bit comforting to know that she saw it too; that Kyrie was there to witness this moment. Because if she hadn't been there AC knew he would've likely thought himself to have simply gone mad.
However her words of acknowledgment didn't fall on deaf ears, and with a little nod of his head Adam moved back to the counter. This time carefully picking up a kitchen knife and ever so lightly using the sharp tip to open up a tiny cut across his palm. Before his very eyes the wound closed up with haste, and again a tiny gasp of surprise escaped the chef.
"I don't....but why is this...none of this makes any freaking sense." If he had the gift to quickly heal, which clearly seemed to be the case, Adam couldn't figure out why it hadn't kicked in until now. Why his body hadn't repaired itself during the bad beating. Or even afterwards when he was left on the front step of this building. "Why is this happening now?"
