"I might break her face instead," she murmured close to his ear. "Just to make my point."
She tucked her face into his neck for another squeeze and kissed him briefly. "I'm going to go get the babies. Be right back."
They'd been outside when she'd gotten home and she hadn't seen them. As silly as some would think it was, Bea missed her puppies when she was gone.
She cleaned up and put on Eli's t-shirt, then went to the back door to let the puppies inside.
"Hello. Oh hello!" She said as she took off running down the hall to the bedroom and leaped up onto the bed with Eli, the puppies flying behind her.
"Look at who it is, Daddy!" She said as she sat Indian style and got two puppies in her lap. "These are our beautiful babies. Awww. I missed you! Yes I did!"
