There was nothing to do but listen. Epoch obviously needed to get this off of his chest... the blackouts were worrying, yet aside from the acknowledgement that the other had been greatly affected by the experiece Hound hardly felt anything at all. He turned and picked the remote back up while the other spoke, turning it over and over in his hands idly, though the mention of saving the woman's life broke his composure. His hand twitched around the device while he blinked, hard.
"You were able to prevent her death..." A hand rose to his mouth in a gesture of deep thought. "And you can try more than once... in time, and given practice you could change events with far greater efficiency, I imagine." It still wasn't quite sinking it emotionally, but a part of his mind that the Hunter called his own was already planning ahead, coming up with possible strategies and drawbacks. This was a game-changer. To prevent events from occuring entirely... was it possible on a larger scale or only concerning matters of individual life and death? The fact that he'd come to think of a civilian's death as a small matter passed unnoticed for the moment - he was too preoccupied to reflect much.
"You can probably grasp how much an ability like yours would aid us. A lot of us... meet gruesome ends." He didn't wince, and infact expression seemed to be bleeding from his face entirely, leaving it cold. "To be able to prevent them... this goes beyond tactics. We would be personally grateful to you... I'm sorry to bring up bad memories." His apology was mechanical, as was the way he moved to set the device down and back away from the other. "But I would like to hear an answer before I leave, tonight."
