Kartahn's shrug was met with a shuttered gaze and a delicate rub of an ear. It was the volume, really, that bothered him. It was sending his senses haywire, trying to hear the minute sounds the booming noise masked and causing a headache to slowly build behind his eyes. He said nothing, however, slipping into the room silently while Kartahn turned away to placate his online friend. Hound's grey eyes scoured the place, though they flicked back to Epoch attentively once the music was muted. giving way to blessed silence. The ringing in his ears continued obliviously, but Hound could ignore it now in favor of his words.
Which were less to his liking. The line of Hound's shoulders stiffened slightly. "I'm not a fruit, I'm an ally. My name is Hound but that's not important, I'm an agent of Labukas. The Manual told me where to find you." As he spoke, he reached into one of his coat pockets to extract a small black book - creativity had never been Hound's strong point - which he opened purposefully to a dog-eared page. "You're new," he said simply, one gloved finger tapping beneath the header clearly titled EPOCH, which oh-so-helpfully listed his place of residence under "territory" as well as a number of other details. "Yet you have not made any attempts to seek other contractors out. It's my job to look after you." Well, Hound was self-appointed but that wasn't important either. "How long were you planning on waiting? The area around your home has become... dangerous, as of late."
