If it was possible for Rafe to look more freaked than she already did, it was when the relief she felt when the girl looked okay instantly flipped back to panic when she saw the girl clenching her chest and having an attack.
Rafe knew it was an attack...she knew the symptoms too well. It made a heavy lump in her stomach that only grew bigger when she recognized the bottle the girl pulled, and she unconsciously clenched her hat tighter. She reflexively reached forward when the bottle almost dropped but the girl had it. She could only watch as she waited and hoped the attack wouldn't get worse. Fortunately, it looked like this was a minor attack...after a few minutes the attack subsided. And then the girl smiled like that and Rafe had completely mixed feelings.
On one hand, her first reaction was give a big sigh of relief and say, "Thank goodness..."
Then, she flipped back to worry, "What were you thinking!? You have a heart condition, right!? You should know you don't do things like that! I mean, you don't do think like that period, especially when you're a kid but you in particular shouldn't be pulling stunts like that!"
