Rupert took notice of the frail hand that pointed at the crest on her shirt. With a solemn sigh, he knelt down so that he would be on Tash's eye level and looked at her. He didn't expect this kind of outcome, but he figured that there was something odd about how Tash was allowed outside with such a big dog in tow... any parent would be at least a little cautious of such a thing. Especially since Prism was such a big place...
"...My condolences to you, Miss Romansage." Rupert said. "You don't need to do anything to make up for this. It was a simple mistake." He had no choice but to grit his teeth as he spoke the next line, "Pants do come and go, after all...
"Instead, why don't I do something for you? What do you like to eat? Do you like ice cream? Coffee? Scones? Perhaps a doughnut? Come, come, just name it and it will be done. I was getting bored of being in the office, anyway."
It was unusual for Rupert to be so kind to someone who offended him so greatly, but he couldn't help but feel sorry for Tash. He wanted to learn more about her. Generally, people were more comfortable in a situation where they could relax. Rupert found that that kind of situation usually involved food. This was why it was customary for him to treat his younger clients to breakfast, or lunch, while discussing things with them. He found they were more responsive that way, at least.
