A bright smile lit the girl's face. A little politeness went a long way it seemed. She quickly scrawled a response message for the older man.
"It is a pleasure, Mister Zeiss."
At his next question, she didn't even really need to write a message. Her smile was still there, but it held an almost sad quality to it all of a sudden. With a pale hand, she pointed silently at the crest on her uniform's shirt. It was the crest for "Mother Maggie's School for Orphans". It wasn't a too terribly known place, off on the side of the lower plate, but she had a feeling that Rupert would know what the crest meant. He seemed like an intelligent man.
"There must be something I can do to make this up to you, Mister Zeiss..."
She quickly scrawled, a small frown overcoming her young features. She was bound and determined to fix this situation. Did he need any help with anything? Perhaps she could buy him something with the meager amount of money she had? He looked like too fancy a man to be pleased with any small trinket her budget would allow. She looked lost in thought....
