Awkward meetings are go? (I don't know what to put here sob)
WHO: Tash and Rupert
WHERE: Streets of the Lower Plate, nearby Tash's church
WHEN: Mid afternoon
WHY: Having nothing better to do, Rupert has decided to go pigeon stalking. 8|
The day had been rather quaint for Rupert. There was no end to the amount of paperwork on his desk, and after hours of sitting and writing, Rupert decided it was time for a change in scenery. He left his office to go get a cup of coffee and a nice bagel.
As he left the building with bagel and coffee in hand, he spied some tables for people to sit and eat at. He sat his cup of coffee and bagel on the table and left for but a moment to go and find the nearest newsstand so he could buy a paper and catch up on the daily happenings. Rupert was, for the most part, largely disinterested on most of the goings on in Prism City, but he did like to catch up on the local crime beat. He paid for his paper in full and returned to his chair, where he stopped in his tracks immediately.
A pigeon had seen fit to roost on the edge of his chair and had been pecking at his bagel uncaring that the owner of said bagel was but a few feet away.
Rupert nearly dropped his paper as his eye twitched. His arch-nemesis, there in front of him, had ruined what was going to be a quiet mid afternoon snack. He frowned deeply as he marched over to the table and slammed the paper on the tabletop.
"Go away, blast you!" He yelled at the pigeon, who was startled immediately and took flight. Rupert watched the pigeon fly away and grumbled. His bagel was now ruined. He still had the coffee, however. He picked the coffee up with his right hand and sipped at it. Pigeons... they ruined everything.
A smile came over his face. He remembered that the Lower Plate had a park where pigeons liked to roost often. Oh, that would be a grand way to spend the day. A sneak attack on his foe would be most favorable. It was better than doing paperwork at his desk, at least.
Rupert made his way down to the Lower Plate and into the park in question, looking for the birds in question. He didn't see any. He examined his cell phone and saw that it was still in the afternoon. People liked to feed the pigeons in the afternoon, so surely they'd come flocking sooner or later.
He plopped himself down on the nearest bench and opened his newspaper. Now he would play the waiting game.
