Rowen nearly jumped where he stood at the sound of his name being called. Oh, how he hoped it wasn't Lotte. What had he done? Did he say something and not remember it? Had he so much as glanced at her wrong? Or better yet, did he not look at her when he was supposed to? Oh, the things that ran through his---
Oh, it was Marcus. That was a relief. He sighed as he stared at the lanky man waving at him and gave him a quiet smile.
"H-hello, Marcus..." Rowen trailed off nervously. "I'm, erm, enjoying myself, yes. I suppose. W-well, what I mean to say is I had no idea how long I'd be standing here and my feet kind of hurt... I should've worn more comfortable shoes... b-but, erm, anyway, how are you this evening?"
He ended awkwardly, and his smile faded slightly. Oh, that wasn't good. He put it back up as fast as he could.
