Hound Hound Hound Hound
Everyone needed a break once in a while, and that was exactly why Cassidy invited his best friend out to go to the New Year's gathering with him. Sure the event was supposed to be some big important announcement, but no one really treated it that way. It was much better as a party, and he was certainly here to party.
He nodded sagely at Florence's words for a while. What they had to say was interesting, and on any other day he would have been engrossed in what the scientist had to say. Everything could be a subject of study, even if it wasn't a part of his major. Psychology didn't feel like the wrong choice for him, even though he couldn't quite remember why he picked it. He was comfortable in it, at least. Though he had to admit that trying to keep up with every other subject he took on the side at the same time was taxing.
That was exactly why he needed the break. And he knew someone who needed a break even more than he did. Ezra was always busy. He was never to be found, and so it was sad to not be able to talk like they did in high school. Even if he called him for something or another at night, there was barely ever an answer. He was starting to wonder if his friend was secretly the Batman.
Anyway, they both needed some time off from their normal, crazy lives. So here he was, in the Convention Center with a friend he didn't see nearly as often as he would have liked.
