Blaise raised an eyebrow. "The Draco Malfoy I knew, insufferable as he was, would not stop thinking like that. Think of this as...a momentary and gross setback. I know were in in your shoes I'd be doing my best to find a way to change my circumstance, and with my drive, I would do it. You don't mean to say you've given up have you?"
Blaise clucked his tongue. "Perhaps you need more encouragement. Or more of a reminder of the life you used to lead and could have again." Blaise turned looked back at his sprawling manor. "All you need is to discover just what steps need to be taken." He didn't offer his assistance yet. That would come later.
Blaise turned back to Draco, a teasing smirk on his lips. "A maudlin Malfoy. Just what I always wanted. Come, if you must go, let me walk you back inside." Blaise noticed Draco had missed his look entirely, and assumed it was due to him being lost in his own thoughts. No matter. Tonight was just the first step in a continuing process.
