Jessica Hamby ([info]newbie_vamp) wrote in [info]defdeadrpg,
Jessica was bored. She had the night off from Merlotte's, which had originally made her happy, it meant she didn't have to deal with Arlene, and there was no chance of running into Hoyt out with Summer. But then she realized she didn't really have anything to do. She wasn't up for a trip to Fangtasia tonight, and Franklin hadn't been around lately.

God, she was bored.

With nothing better to do, she figured she might as well get some practice in on developing her powers. Glamouring she already had down pretty well. Besides, she didn't much feel like spending time around people tonight. So, it seemed like super-speed would be her workout tonight. She wanted to push herself to the limits, seeing just how fast, and how far, she could go.

Jessica was taking a break near the town limits when a sound ripped through the night. Not that she was an expert of the subject, but that sounded like a gunshot. She stood still, looking around wildly trying to figure out where it had come from. Then the smell hit her. Blood. Lots of blood. Her fangs popped out as she caught the trail of it.

Up ahead. Maybe a mile or two. She started running again, honestly not sure whether she was looking to feed, or looking to help whoever was hurt. She slowed again when she saw a man slumped up against a car. He looked familiar, and it took a second for her to recognize where she knew him from. It was Sookie's brother. Jason.

In the blink of an eye, she was at his side. Helping to support him.

"Oh, my god," she said, panicking. "What happened? Are you okay? Where are you hurt? Can you talk?"
