WEEK SIXTEEN | WEDNESDAY // Invidia
Who: Invidia
NPCs: A random Pixie.
When: Week Sixteen: Wednesday; Sunset.
Where: Mine Town: In the foothills of the mountains.
What: Invidia has decided to collect some ingredients and has tracked a pixie that she intends to turn into pixie-pieces.
Rating & Warnings:R; Murder.
"Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty pixie," Invidia said the words in a sing-song voice as she followed a tiny trail of blood through the tangles of trees and brush that covered part of the foothils around Mine Town. She'd almost caught her prey, but now the little bitch was trying to run away. She was mortally wounded and was trying to get to help from her little pixie friends, but that wasn't going to happen. Pandora knew how to follow the tiniest of blood trails. Her body tingled at the mere presence of it. Her powers flowed from it. There was no way to escape a blood witch when she was in persuit of her prey. They were hunters and trackers so once the scent was in her nostrils, nothing could deter her until she was finished. "Here pretty, pretty pixie," she sang again as she pushed aside a large branch. The pixie she was persuing was still in her larger form and glowed with a soft green light that was beginning to dim. She was trying to call out to the plants around her to heal her. She was also calling out to any of her faerie brethren, but none would heed her call with Invidia standing over her and watching her life fade. Her hand reached out for a vine, hoping it could save her, but she was just too weak to go on. The vine crept toward her, then sank as if it too was dying. "Why?" The pixie managed to mutter as Invidia closed in on her slowly. The woman just smiled, something that looked very sinister on such a pale and sweet-looking face. She took a few steps closer to the pixie, breathing in the scent of blood on the air, and ran her fingers through the young creature's hair. "Why not?" Why shouldn't the strong overtake the weak? This pixie had been too naive. She did not heed the warnings of her kind to stay away from the giantfolk. Instead, she mingled in with them as if she was part of them. Invidia could feel the power in her blood and wanted it to be her own. The pixie began to cry, calling out for help from whomever may be close enough to hear, but there wwas no one. Invidia slid down behind the pixie and took her head in her hands, her delicate fingers covering the pixie's mouth and nose. "Shhh," she whispered as she cut off the creature's airway. "Do not fear death for he welcomes you with he sweetest of embraces." The tired creature could no longer fight, though she tried in the beginning. Invidia was just too strong for her. The soft light that she emitted finally dimmed to nothing. The magic that shielded her wings from view was broken and the pixie's powerful dust was now ripe for the taking. Of course, the hunt itself was just as good as the spoils. It kept her fresh and in top shape for whatever else may come. Invidia stood up and admired the sweet creature that she had just ruthlessly slaughtered. Her wings shimmered beautifully in the fading light. There were so many greens and yellows that she almost forgot that she was here to take them rather than look at them. "A witch's work is never done," she sighed as she pulled one of her knives from a hidden place in her skirt. There were so many knives that you would think she'd have a hard time choosing just which one she might use on this creature, but each actually had a purpose. The knife she had currently would be used to gut and bleed the beautiful creature that she had just killed. Yet another would be used to remove the wings from her shoulders before they withered into nothing. One would even be used to skin the creature before she collected what bones she thought her sister might like to use. After all, one wouldn't want to waste such a precious and beautiful resource. |
