"A car?" Lydia's brows raised at that. She could guess how it happened but the image of it was still strange. She added as an afterthought, "Poor body." That would be an ugly way to die. Granted, most ways were ugly but drowning trapped in a car would have to be a punishment. She hadn't ever liked executions- public hangings had been well on their way to gone by the time she'd been born and even coven-related issues were something she tried not to be around for. Ugly enough things happened in her head, she didn't need to watch them with her actual eyes.
She shook her head at his question. "Not that I know of, but mother would not tell me anyway. Though I haven't asked, either. I haven't seen her for a while." Lydia's relationship with her mother was loving but she avoided actually being in the same room with Nicolette when things were rocky. "I may go back to visit some friends," she added with a shrug. This was not exactly a statement of itinerary, but she missed the capital mostly because she'd been told not to go there for a while.
