To be perfectly honest, Harry had never felt this intimidated in his entire life which was really saying something. After all, considering everything he'd done, meeting a 25 year old woman who was already given to liking him shouldn't be scary or nerve wrecking at all. However, it was. This was his daughter after all. His fully grown daughter who had a child of her own. If that wasn't mental, he didn't know what was. Yes, he thought it was brilliant but he hadn't had the time to become the man that she knew and hopefully loved back home. He was just Harry at the moment. He had just gotten used to the idea of having baby James and now he was presented with this. He could only hope he wouldn't be a complete buffoon and make her swear off him until he was 53 years old. Goodness, 53, who would've thought he'd even make it to that age. Blimey.
Following the familiar path to Gryffindor tower, the childish part of him wished he had his invisibility cloak on him. Or the map at least. He felt naked in this unfamiliar version of Hogwarts. He felt vulnerable. Keeping his wand out and his guard up the entire way, he was surprised to find Lily waiting for him outside the portrait hole already when he got there. She looked -- just like Ginny. It was remarkable really. Thank Merlin one of his children hadn't gotten his hair. Pushing his glasses up his nose he gave her a small smile. "Hello." he greeted calmly though inside his nerves were backfiring and refusing to tell him what to do. Eventually all that came out was. "You'll catch a chill, running around like that. It's freezing out."
