WHO: Lily Luna and Harry Potter. And a baby! That belongs to Lily. And is NPC'd by me. WHAT: Harry becomes a father and grandfather at once. WHEN: Friday nightish? WHERE: "Gryffindor Tower" RATING/STATUS: Cute/In progress
If there was anyone Lily was excited about meeting from another time, it would have to be her parents -more specifically, her father. The stories were great, but the chance to get to know him when the memories were still fresh in his mind was something she couldn't pass up. When she wrote about needing a paper bird, she really did want to give one to Holly to play with, but she knew Harry knew how to make them, so in writing, she had hoped he would be one to volunteer to make and bring her one. Mission accomplished, he was on his way up, even with curfew not too far away. Not that Lily was concerned about a silly thing like a curfew, but if there were any consequences, she'd have to worry about what would happen to Holly in the process. But it wouldn't be her getting into trouble (this time), and Harry was a big boy, so it was okay.
She settled Holly down to sleep, though once Granddad showed up, the little girl wouldn't sleep a wink, and locked the dormitory door behind her so she could go meet the younger Harry; not knowing anyone who was staying there with her very well, Lily didn't quite trust them enough to leave her daughter unprotected. If she hadn't planned on going right back up with her father, she would have just brought her down with her and let her sleep in her lap in the common room, that was how little she trusted the people around her with her daughter, even if there was nowhere to go.
She was waiting against the wall next to the portrait entrance into the common room when the familiar scraggy black Potter hair and specs came into view, and Lily couldn't keep the grin off her face at how he looked exactly like the pictures of him.
"Hey," she greeted him, pushing off the wall and walking up to him; though she was a couple years older than him, chronologically, she only came up to his chin in height, and was thinner even than he was. One probably wondered how she could hit a Bludger around at all, much less be good at it, but she packed quite the punch when she wanted to.
