I've been away for most of the month, because I felt like I needed some time to myself here at home. I won't go into the finer details, but I felt it was better that I took time away rather than quitting outright. I really have enjoyed a lot of the game and chatting with everyone so I didn't want to end that if I didn't really have to do so.
For those who may be new (or just forgot I was here): Hi. I'm Lori and I have three characters.
Nicolette Ashford [Umbra]: Nicky is an agent who was recruited the day after her 18th birthday. She is originally from Florida so she was slotted into Underworld where she received much of her training. She stayed there until a little over five years ago when she was shifted to Limbo. Her assumption is that Limbo is the gathering place for those who are in need a more in-depth training or those who don't play well with others and need to learn to be a better team player. She is an umbrakinetic with teleportation powers. In general, she's the quiet type, but she does enjoy goofing around with those she has gotten to know. She's one to mess with you just to mess with you (as Hector already knows) and likes to show off a lot more than she should. When she's on a mission, she has a habit of taking command if there isn't already a dedicated hierarchy. This is mostly because she's one of the agents that has been active the longest. If there was anyone on the mission who had more experience or had been in the regiment longer, she would immediately allow them to take the lead.
Dr. Isabella Romero: Dr. Romero is, in her own words, an activist for super equality. She is the administrative director of psychology in Limbo and tasked with making sure the supers and staff are mentally healthy. She started her position in February and, well, she hasn't done a very good job just yet. She's spent more time trying to get the damn place organized than actually helping anyone. For the last month, Isabella has been pulled out of Limbo by a handful of Senators that are very upset at the failure of the SEA to pass. They're trying to use her status to once again rally congress on their side, but it hasn't worked well so she will be returning to Limbo this week in order to return to her actual job.
Elena Rusakova [Galatea]: Elena is my newest character. She's a Russian transplant, acquired by the regiment after they freed her from the menagerie of a super collector. She arrived in Limbo in December of 2016, but was transferred to Oblivion in New England for training with a handler fluent in Russian. She was recently transferred back to Limbo in order to facilitate her training in combat. Elena has an amphibian physiology with extremely thin skin that allows her to be oxygenated while under water. Her physical mutation also makes her ghostly white and she keeps her skin covered to keep her fragile thin skin from being torn. Elena is a very sweet woman who wouldn't ever raise her voice at anyone. She's also quite the pacifist and refuses to take part in fighting, even at the thread of punishment from her handlers. This is why she was transferred. The supervisors in Oblivion felt she was too close to her previous handler and decided that moving her to a new location would force her to comply.
I apologize for my disappearing act and would be more than happy to finish any scenes that were started before I took my leave (if you so wish). I'm also open to plotting with any characters that may have a link to my three folks. Just let me know.
