Maddox was a night owl. It was true due his job and work but also as a personal preference. So seeing daylight let alone being awake and going out in it was a rare occurrence. One of those would be a request from family for a meal, in this case his little brother and brunch. He loved all his siblings but Maeve and Aran he was just that much close to and always had been.
So that's how, on a late summer afternoon, he was dressed and approaching Aran's home. Maddox got to the door, knocked twice and then let himself inside. He smiled as his brother spoke and he shut the door. He was walking to the kitchen with a smile on his face. "You said 'around', so it's around the afternoon," Maddox teased. He took the orange juice, returning the kiss. "Not sleepy, wide awake now, need a nap."
He moved closer, snagging a chair at the table and sitting down. "It's good, it's always good. But exciting, no not really. Well not unless you count the near brawl on the main floor the other night. Those are always fun. What about you, how are you doing?"
