"Hypothetically, of course. But it would have to take a miracle to keep from getting caught, now that we have aurors as well as the usual prefects." Regulus hated to be practical when the other boy seemed so very excited by it. Especially when he agreed with him. He knew how guilty he felt over the years, as horrible as he was in Transfiguration, when he managed only to get something partly into what it was supposed to turn into, or only partly back. "I wish there was a slightly more legal way to go about it. I would ask my parents if they thought donating money to the school might help, but they'd think I'd gone completely mad if I brought it up." Considering some of the decorations on their wall and relics they kept, it was safe to say Regulus was the only one who felt this strongly about it. And he tended to keep quiet about any beliefs he had that didn't line one-hundred percent up with the rest of the family.
Regulus closed his eyes as he felt, he was sure, the other boy lightly scratching his arm. Or maybe it was just wishful thinking and Florean was only attempting to warm him. "Thank you. For your help. If it weren't for you, I'd probably be half frozen by now." He really wasn't sure what to say about Florean's owl. Apollo was his first pet and, while he'd been awfully fond of Cameron's cat, House hadn't been his. He didn't know what that sort of loss had to feel like. Especially not discovering it in such a horrible way. He slid his own arm behind the Ravenclaw and wrapped it around his shoulder.
He was quite glad to offer any sort of distraction to him, and Regulus knew ice cream was one of his favourite ones. Plus, he had been looking forward to trying it, although it seemed like that would have to wait a while. "I don't know about the taste of it, but the orange wouldn't be the most interesting to look at. The Neopolitan stripes would be, since it would almost look like candy corn in the bowl. Just... I guess round instead of triangles. I hate that your batch is ruined, after you worked on it for so long."
