Florean was unsettled by the flutter of disappointment he felt in the pit of his stomach when Regulus pulled away. He couldn't really see it, but he could hear and sense well enough to tell that the other boy was taking off his damp outer robes. And good for him, Florean told himself, directing the thought primarily to that irritating flutter in his stomach. You have no reason to feel disappointed about anything. Regulus could catch a cold. That's why he pulled away. Stop being ridiculous. Honestly. He heard the sound which could only be said robes landing on the floor.
He had to smile. "No Transfiguration. What a pleasant thought. It's nice to have some kind of silver lining, isn't it?" He felt Regulus sliding down to sit on the floor. The flutter in his stomach returned with tiny, fierce, happy vengeance when he felt his sleeve being tugged on in an invitation to sit next to him. Stop it! he told himself again, sliding down the wall to sit next to him. "Even if they try and make us go, all they'll be able to do is make us take notes. Since everyone's magic is broken or whatever's happening. So the animals, at least, will be safe."
Florean wriggled a bit, trying to get comfortable. The side of his arm and leg were touching Regulus's, and he couldn't help but enjoy the contact. Aside from the fact that he enjoyed the other boy's company - probably more than Regulus would be comfortable with if he knew, Florean acknowledged to himself - it was nice just to be able to sit and chat with somebody in the dark. He hadn't been looking forward to having to sit there by himself and wait for a professor to find him. He felt the Slytherin seemingly kick at something on the floor. His robes, maybe. "Are you feeling any warmer now?" he asked.
