I fell asleep when I finally got home from work D:
"They should be." Regulus nodded in agreement. "I'm actually amazed I made it up here in one piece despite everything, now that I know what happened. Although I have to say, if I do get in trouble, I'm not going to be that happy if there are people trying to play tag in this. I hope they accidentally found some leftover billywigs and didn't decide it would be a great game to play while completely... I guess sane wouldn't really be the word to use here, would it?" Regulus laughed at the last part and shook his head. If it was the fault of undiscovered billywigs, he supposed he didn't really have much room to talk.
Regulus swallowed hard as Florean's hand moved up and underneath his arm, and he wanted nothing more than to lean into the other boy's warmth. But the Ravenclaw was right, he needed out of his outer robe and he had to break contact to do that. "I just wish I knew where to hang it to dry. There was a door a little bit back, but I don't really want to make my way back. I've almost tripped over Apollo enough today." He reluctantly slipped his hand from Florean's to unfasten the front of his robe and slide it off. He held it awkwardly for a moment before deciding just to let it fall to the ground beside him. There wasn't much else he could do with it, not without being able to see what he was doing. Apollo ran when he heard the wet thwack of the robe hitting the floor and ducked behind the Ravenclaw.
"Maybe we'll at least be exempt from Transfig tomorrow, and we won't have to turn anything into cups, pillows, or anything else." Regulus slowly lowered himself down and tugged on the other boy's sleeve. At least they could sit together without having to have any other sort of excuse as to why. "If the stairs have stopped working, I wonder if it's like there was some sort of giant finite incantem? Maybe any forgotten transfiguraton projects have gone back to being whatever they were before." He scooted the soaking wet robe further away from them with the toe of his shoe. He was still cold and damp, but it wasn't quite as bad now.
