Florean frowned. "They were pretty serious about it." His mind flashed through scenes from his nightmare the previous night, images of broken bones and blood on disconnected stairs. "As so they should be," he said decisively, shaking his head just a bit, dismissing the unpleasant images from the vision from his head. "People at this school are entirely too careless, sometimes."
But then the possibility that Regulus - who, after all, did not have crazy-making visions of violence, pain and injuries disturbing his nights on a regular basis - might be worried about something else entirely finally crossed his mind. "Oh, but no, if you're worried about getting in trouble or something, don't be." He smiled reassuringly and hoped that Regulus could maybe get a sense of in from the sound of his voice, since he couldn't see it. "I'm sure you're going to be fine. I think the warning were more for people who were talking about, like, going to play lightning tag outside and stuff. Not, you know. You."
Regulus's hand between his was still chilled, but it was slowly warming up. Florean was trying not to think too much about how nice it was to hold the other boy's hand when his fingers curled slightly around Florean's hand and he came closer. Florean's unintentionally found himself holding his breath, before Regulus's words finally processed properly. "Wait, what?"
Continuing to hold onto the other boy's hand with his own right, Florean leaned further into Regulus and used his left hand to touch his elbow, getting a feel for the wet robe he was wearing, presumably the quidditch practice attire in question. He brought his left hand upwards, now less intent on the fact that he was getting to touch Regulus than he was on the fact that Regulus was cold and soaked. "You're sopping wet!" he exclaimed. He tugged on the sleeve of the Slytherin's robes at the sleeve, at the back of the shoulder, where his exploring hand had curled around under Regulus's arm to reach. "Come on, take off your outer robe, at least. We're not going to be going anywhere any time soon, so we should sit or something. And I don't want you to be sitting in a puddle the whole time. You could get sick."
