Andromeda had been having a rather pleasant week, all thing's considered. Halloween, for the most part, had been rather good for her. Her date with Ted had gone better than expected, they had kissed at the end of the night, and when it came time to leave he was a perfect gentleman. Not that she expected any less, of course, but she heard stories about other boys. And the ways they went on with other girls. She was glad that Ted was a sweetheart, the perfect gentleman. She couldn't have asked for a better friend... of course, she hoped to tack a 'boy-' on the front of that in due time. But all good things came to those who waited. The rest of the week had been uneventful, too. Rounds on Monday. Lunch with Ted on Wednesday. She intended to find Clara and study with her after dinner.
With that goal in mind, Andromeda strode to Slytherin House with a purposeful, determined kick in her step. She would have liked to see the week out on the same high. The same pleasant tinge. Of course, as always, something wanted to stand in her way to disturb that. And that thing was Sirius, who garnered a yelp of surprise from his younger cousin when he touched her. "Sirius?" Andromeda huffed, almost tempted to flounce off in the other direction. She didn't want to be upset with him, and in fact she kind of wasn't, but it was easier to be angry than deal with the lump of anguish that rose in her throat every time she thought of him leaving. Avoiding him had served her well that week, and she would have happily continued until the end of term. She knew she couldn't very well walk away from him, though, and instead turned to follow.
