The past two weekends had been both a blast and a blur. Sirius had thoroughly enjoyed going as Lily to the ball, and having James Potter on his/her arm. It was all very complicated, but all very deserved. Sirius had been having a blast back at Hogwarts, but he usually did. He was already thinking about his next prank, and conjuring up dates for him and Phoebe. Or some other girl that wanted to go out with him. All in all, the life of Sirius Black was a great one. Fantastic.
However, not so much right now. He'd been foolish in thinking to take the shortcut outside. It was so damn cold. The sun was bright, how the hell was it cold? Sirius, of course, was not dressed correctly. He hardly ever did. Sirius was wearing a long sleeve t-shirt and jeans. Ever since learning about them, Sirius had worn muggle clothing. They were comfortable and they pissed his parents off. Why not?
As Sirius rounded the corner, he heard a familiar voice. Regulus. Well if the chill wasn't bad enough, coming across his brother was. With a sigh, Sirius stopped behind him and watched the cat. "There's plenty of insects that look like leaves, brother. They very well could be attacking him." There was a hint of amusement in Sirius' voice, but he shuffled his feet and kicked a few leaves into the air.
