Candy. He really thought she was going to eat candy right now? Cassandra didn't usually eat candy in even the happiest of situations. She certainly wasn't going to suck on something while a stranger was trying to pry open her life. Instead, Cassandra simply glared at the bowls and sat on the couch. It looked more comfortable, and farther away. It would be easier to ignore his questions if she were farther away. Without fattening candy. As Cassandra settled into the couch, she placed her hands in her lap, intertwining her fingers. A slightly nervous gesture, but at least this way she wouldn't fidget.
At his question, Cassandra looked up. What did she want to talk about? All in all, her life was going fabulously at the moment. With a small smile, Cassandra shrugged. "Nope, nothing pressing. I have a fabulous boyfriend," she said while twirling her fingers on his family crest around her neck, "and I'm finally getting along with my cousin." Cassandra bit down hard on the inside of her cheek. She shouldn't have said that. Now he would as why she hadn't gotten along with Aurelie in the past. Dammit.
"Slytherin is getting along brilliantly, and I have a new puppy. So, no, there's nothing I really need to talk to you about." Cassandra's tone was a bit more cruel on that last statement than she'd intended, but oh well.
