Paul laughed as he hit her. "Feisty, aren't we? I'd keep up plenty, thank you very much. You obviously have trouble even staying on your feet. Unless you're only tripping because I'm around. In which case, I'll make sure to always be on the side-lines to distract you." He winked, clearly joking.
Okay, the beard was beginning to irritate him. It itched like mad, but he didn't want to move off Theo. He shifted slightly, putting one hand on the ground to brace himself and alleviate some of the weight pressing down on her body, and moved to retrieve his wand from a pocket on his side and with a wave of his wand the beard was gone and his long, gray hair returned to its normal, shaggy blond state. "There, much better." He looked down at her and smiled. "Did you? Well, we'll have to get them eventually." Shrugging, he said, "I'm all right. Rolling down hills is always a fun past-time, obviously." He could already feel the ache of being banged up, but he'd rather not let Theo know that.
