Molly's eyes widened as she stared down at the gorgeous ring, her eyes shifting to Arthur's face. Her eyes filled instantly with tears of joy. It wasn't as if Arthur wasn't already the sweetest boyfriend a girl could ask for and regularly said such things to her, but there was a different meaning behind them in that moment. She'd had little doubt that this day would come, knowing for so long that the two of them were meant to be, but it still took her breath away.
She wanted to say so much — to tell Arthur that he was the best thing in her life, that she'd loved him from day one, that the only future she'd ever seen for herself was one that included him by her side — but the words caught in her throat. All she could do was take her free hand and cup Arthur's cheek, bending forward and kissing him until she was breathless.
Molly pulled away a bit, grinning and crying at once. "Yes, Arthur," she choked out, nodding enthusiastically. "Yes, love! Oh my God, yes!"
