Here's my attempt at Lily's bio... AS YOU CAN SEE I am not in a super serious bio-y mood.
I know Circe wanted to know how long they'd been in London and all... At least since 2008 (since her first scene in old DL is November 2006.) Vlad the dad will have been in London longer.
Other Russian mafia things!
The following I found online. I have NO solid plans about Little Moscow and it IS Lara's baby so please if you want something to work a certain way then tell me and I will write it down! Besides, this is just how it works in Russia, can easily be different in game in London. Tell me things, Lara!
The Bratva - This is an organization found in Russia. It is also called Organizatsiya and Red Mafia.
• Organized crime in Russia began in the time of Tsars. It wasn’t until the Soviet era that thieves in law (vory v zakone) emerged as leaders in prison groups found in labour camps (gulags). Here was when the honor code became more defined. More gangs emerged after the fall of the Soviet Union, with a flourishing black market, the ability to exploit the government and at its highest point controlling two-thirds of the Russian economy. In modern times the organization’s members consist of former prison members, corrupt Communist officials and business leaders, people with ethnic ties or people from the same region with shared criminal experiences and leaders.
• The criminal elite of the organizations often conveyed their status through intricate tattoo’s that covered their bodies in the 1970’s up to the 1990’s. This is still used by members in today’s organizations. An example is the members of a group in Atlanta has a spade with the number three beneath it to distinguish who they are and what group they are apart of.
• Hierarchy of the Bratva: One top of the various ranks, there is a structure of groups. These groups include: the elite group, which consists of vor’s (made men) that manages and organizes plans of operation; the support group which sets specific tasks for subordinate groups as well as choosing who does what task; the security group which is incharge of security and intelligence; and finally the working group which consists of the individuals that actually carry out the crimes and are often uninformed of the identities of the leaders.
Pakhan: This is the boss of everything. He is also called Krestnii Otets which translates to Godfather. He is in charge of four criminal cells in a working unit through an intermediary called a Brigadier.
Sovietnik and Obshchak: These are two spies that watch over the Brigadiers to ensure their loyalty to the Pakhan and that none of them become too powerful. The Sovietnik is the adviser and most trusted of the Pakhan. The Obshchak is the bookmaker who collects money from the Brigadiers and bribes the government.
Brigadier: These are essentially a captain, in charge of a small group of men. He gives out jobs and pays tribute to the Pakhan. He operates a brigade of five to six Boyeviks and Shestyorkas. There are only four Brigadiers within the Bratva.
Boyeviks: These are the ‘warriors’ of the Bratva. They have specialized activities that is given to the them by the Brigadier, who they pay tribute to. They also recruit new members and are the main strike force. The three different Boyeviks are: kyrshas, which translates to ‘covers’ and are the enforcers that are often employed to protect businesses from rivals; torpedo, which are contract killers; and byki which are the body guards.
Shestyorkas: They are an associate of the Bratva and are the lowest rank possible. They are the errand boys and provide information of an upcoming target. They are often young males in training to become a vor, or made man.
THOUGHT THE FIRST: Lara and Lewi have been using 'lieutenant' instead of 'brigadier', presumably to stop Lara getting emotional over her brigadier baby. Keep going with 'leiutenant'?
