Character Name: Audrey Choi Age: 26 Birthday: 28th September
Personality: Has a hard time with finding sympathy sometimes and it means she can come off hard and/or cold. She takes all criticisms very personally and she thinks she's way more easy going and less affected than she is. She's easily jealous of those around her, and is fearful of being hated or showing weakness. She doesn't really know how to ask people for help when she needs it, not even family. (Really, her highest goal in life is complete and utter independence. Audrey doesn't want to ever rely on anyone.)
Confident, loud, and courageous, Audrey can always be counted as the first to take any dare or do anything someone else has labeled as frightening. She has an aggressive streak that she tries to keep in check but sometimes she fails and has spectacular rages, often involving physical violence. (Audrey often finds herself at odds with her mother, the two of them having a tendency to clash.)
Audrey loves to read and eats through novels furiously. She doesn't like most music, but she plays guitar and likes that. Audrey has self image issues which, as a teenager, manifested themselves as a rather serious eating disorder. She's still got issues around food and her appearance, but not like she used to.
She flat out doesn't date, seeing it as an attachment she can't afford to have. She can't really be honest about what she is, and there's the added concern of maybe she'll kill them just like her mother killed her father. Sleeping around is good though. She likes that lots.
History: Born in Belfast to a pair of second generation Chinese immigrants, Audrey is the daughter of an ifrit (although they don't call themselves anything like that. They're just all 'we can do weird shit'). Audrey doesn't really remember her father, because he died in an accidental fire started by her sleeping mother when Audrey was two.
Mother and daughter moved to London to start afresh and five years later her mother got together with another man and married him. They had a kid together, giving Audrey a new little sister.
She studied hard at school and then went to university to study chemistry. It never went anywhere though and it didn't interest her as much as she thought it would. But she graduated and left school behind, finding herself a job in an old second hand bookstore that she pretty much loves.
