Character Name: Klara Courtlandt Age: 24 (I think? She's the same age as Con, but I'm lost) Birthday: 13th February
Personality: A natural born werewolf born of a mother and father who were both the same, Klara is very comfortable inside her wolfy-skin. She is equally comfortable in both forms of herself but wishes it was easier to spend more time as a wolf without sideaffects. She's very active, and if she does go for a run every day she'll feel restless and cranky. She eats like a horse... or a wolf.
Klara hasn't quite followed in the beliefs of her mother of werewolf superiority. She loves being a wolf, no doubt about that, but she doesn't really feel it makes her better than anyone else. Luckier, for sure but not better. (She feels sad that everyone else doesn't get to feel the way she does.)
In her late teens she became more serious and focused on her future. The death of her mother really started this off, and her father's death and all the Ravensdale-shaped drama and a dead boyfriend have really just topped it off. She's guilty of being more serious than she really needs to be, and she has always relied on formalities in everyday life. Sometimes Klara comes off like a woman out of time, and she feels that was as well.
She has deep and complicated feelings about one Constantine Ravensdale, namely being still pretty much in love with him from when they dated as seventeen year olds.
History: Born and raised on the lands of Courtlandt Huis in Lelystad in the Netherlands, Klara lived with her wealthy werewolf mother and father, along with the many other extended family members who chose to follow them around. Her father was considered to be one of the heads of the family, and her mother was somewhat famous among them for managing to do what most lady werewolves fail to do: carry a child to term. This makes Klara herself rather special as well, being one of the only werewolves recorded in the family to have been born of two wolves.
The Courtlandt family is old blood and is spread out across Europe basically being all nazi-like with their werewolf pride. They see humans as little use beyond breeding stock (because how else do you get baby werewolves when werewolves themselves can't stay knocked up?) and slaves. Children who turn out to be regular old humans and not wolves are usually killed off without much fanfare. Courtlandts are wolves. Stop messing it up, human genetics.
At seventeen she requested to be able to go to London to study, and as her parents liked the idea of Klara expanding her knowledge in all ways, they approved. So she spent a year there and fell in love with Con and then returned back to the Netherlands. It was when she was twenty that she came back to London to live, wanting a change from the pressures of home that were beginning to mount up. Klara didn't really want to stay so involved in her own family's drama and politics, so instead she came and got mixed up in Con's.
